CANTON, Ohio -- The city of Canton is hosting the 49th Annual Pro Football Hall of Fame induction this weekend.

The induction finished off with an official NFL season kick-off at Fawcett Stadium. The Arizona Cardinals and New Orleans Saints faced each other. Quarterback Drew Brees threw for 41 yards before leaving the game, and Mark Ingram put the Saints out early with a touchdown.
The Saints beat the Cardinals 17-10.

Canton kicked off the Pro Football Hall of Fame Festivities with a parade and fireworks Saturday.

This year, the Pro Football Hall of Fame plans to add six new members as the city welcomes more than 700,000 football fans. The inductions are scheduled to take place at Fawcett Stadium and will welcome Jets running back Curtis Martin, Saints tackle Willie Roaf, Seahawks defensive lineman Cortez Kennedy, Vikings sack master Chris Doleman and two Steelers--Dermontti Dawson, a center, and Jack Butler, a cornerback.

The city hosted a formal dinner and fashion show in conjunction with the Hall of Fame at the Memorial Civic Center Friday.

The city estimates the weekend will make a $30 million impact on the northeast Ohio community, drawing crowds from as close as Michigan and as far as California.
