CLEVELAND -- All 60-year-old Gregory Perry wanted was to get some shopping done before heading home. He ended up being robbed and brutally assaulted. Cleveland police are looking for help in tracking down his attackers.
Perry left a convenience store on East 116th Street on Thursday night when one suspect approached him and asked for money. Perry refused.
Cleveland Police Sgt. David Rutt described what happened next and said, "He was assaulted, punched twice and knocked to the ground."
A suspect named Stephan Anderson then took $40 from Perry and kicked him again. Sgt. Rutt said the attack didn't end there.
"Another individual who we would like to identify also comes up and kicks Mr. Perry one more time in the face," Sgt. Rutt explained.
Suspect Anderson is 27-years-old and lives on the southeast side of Cleveland. Police are still trying to identify the second suspect. If you have any information, call the Cleveland police.
Perry has a cut lip and several broken bones in his face.
