WESTLAKE, Ohio (WJW)– Cleveland Browns wide receiver Rashard Higgins and offensive tackle Jedrick Wills were cited for drag racing Tuesday morning, according to Westlake police.
They were stopped at Crocker Road and Coventry Drive.
The charges against Higgins and Wills were filed in Rocky River Municipal Court, and their arraignments are scheduled for Jan. 19.
Higgins commented on the incident on his verified Twitter account.
“Foot slipped srry (sic),” the now-deleted tweet said. “Was tryna get away from COVID.”
“We are aware of the incident, will gather more information and handle this matter appropriately,” the Browns told FOX 8 Tuesday evening.
