CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Browns celebrated a title Saturday, more than 60 years after it was earned.
According to the Browns, a trophy commemorating the team’s 1946 All-America Football Conference Championship was found at a North Carolina garage sale.
The 1946 season was the first of 10 straight seasons in the title game under head coach Paul Brown.
The trophy was found by the grandson of the former Browns minority owner.
The team is working with the Pro Football Hall of Fame to decide where it will be displayed.
