BEREA, Ohio -- The Cleveland Browns open up Training Camp on Friday at the team facility in Berea, and there is plenty to talk about for a team looking to change the culture.

The Browns brass of Executive Vice President of Football Operations Sashi Brown, Chief Strategy Officer Paul DePodesta and Head Coach Hue Jackson addressed the media Thursday ahead of the team's first practice.

The trio was asked for the first time about running back Isaiah Crowell's Instragram post that received nationwide attention for its content.

"It starts with grave disappointment," said Brown. "Crow to his credit called both Hue and I on his own to be accountable. He has taken the steps that I think, at least at the outset, that he should rightfully so to make something that was very wrong into a right."

"We don't feel that that is Crow's character," said Jackson. "I truly believe that he will continue to work at making this right and I think that that is important to all 3 of us sitting up here."

Earlier this week, wide receiver Josh Gordon was reinstated with conditions into the league. The talented wide receiver missed all of last year after being suspended from the league for a violation of the NFL's substance abuse policy.

The Browns are glad to have Gordon back but they know it's ultimately up to Josh to stay out of trouble.

"The message from Josh and the pledge from Josh was consistent with what we wanted to see from him we would have made a different decision, that wasn't the case," said Brown. "He in earnest wants to make the most of this opportunity."

Head Coach Hue Jackson acknowledged he watched game film on Gordon once he learned he would be reinstated and joining the team.

"He's going to have to be accountable to what it is that he needs to do," Jackson said. "We understand that the league has expectations for him and we do too and we shared those with him and I truly believe that he wants to make it right as well."

The Browns head into training camp with the same question they have every year, who will be the starting quarterback? Hue Jackson is not ready to announce who will start under center on the eve of the first team practice but did said he will announce the starter before the first preseason game on August 12.

"I think whoever earns that job is going to earn it out on this field," Jackson said. "We are going to go through a process here pretty soon, it's going to show itself."

The Hue Jackson era officially kicks off on Friday at 3 p.m. with the first of 11 free practices open to the public.

All tickets to four sessions, including the first three open practices, have been claimed, but fans still have the opportunity to reserve their spot at seven open practices in Northeast Ohio, in addition to the Orange & Brown Scrimmage in Columbus.

The Orange & Brown Scrimmage will take place at Ohio Stadium in Columbus on Aug. 6.

All training camp practices are free to fans, who can register online through the Browns Mobile App. On the day of each session, fans can access their tickets directly from the app.
