AKRON, Ohio — A boil advisory issued earlier this week for customers in Fairlawn and Copley after a massive water main break has been lifted.

According to the city of Akron, the water has been tested, and all tests came back clean.

A water main break on Thursday sent a river of water and mud into nearby neighborhoods, pouring feet of filth into basements.

Electric and gas were shut off to many homes, and a boil advisory had been in effect since.
