CONNEAUT TOWNSHIP, OH – The body of a 16-year-old boy has been recovered from the waters off of Conneaut  Township Park Beach.

The boy has been identified as Jakub Hess. He was visiting family from his home in Hiram.

Crews had been searching for Jakub since Sunday evening, when they received a call that a person who had been in the water did not resurface.  The search continued Monday and resumed again Tuesday.

The Conneaut Fire Chief tells Fox 8 that the teen was found at around 4:30 Tuesday. Foul play is not suspected, he said, calling the incident a sad accident. An autopsy will be performed to determine the specific cause of his death.
