OLMSTED TOWNSHIP, Ohio– Police investigating a body found in a pond released the man’s identity at a press conference Monday afternoon.

Olmsted Township police said the body of a man discovered on April 17 on McKenzie Road is Carl Edward Acoff, Jr., 20.

They said Acoff was reported missing in Cleveland on March 27.

He had a police record in Cleveland.

Acoff’s body had a rope around his waist tied to a concrete block and a steel pipe, police said.

The victim was found wearing a red Betty Boop tank top, three black bras and a light black-hooded jacket. He was nude from the waist down, police said.

Earlier, police said Acoff was stabbed to death, and may have been killed some time ago, based on how badly the body was decomposed.
