CLEVELAND (WJW) – Cleveland Fire confirmed to FOX 8 on Friday that a body was recovered in the Cuyahoga River.
The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the man as Thomas Sterling Massey, 26.
Massey’s body was found under the Lorain-Carnegie bridge, near the intersection of Carter and Scranton roads, near the old fire station at 1801 Carter Road, according to information from the medical examiner’s office.
The man’s cause of death has not been released.
Crews were working near the intersection of Columbus and Scranton roads just after noon on Friday. They used a fire boat to recover the body.
