CLEVELAND, Ohio –Middleburg Heights Police have confirmed that a man missing from an area nursing home has been found dead in Cleveland Metroparks.

According to Metroparks officials, the body of Ronald Herhuth, 71, was found around noon Friday.

Family of Herhuth, along with several area law enforcement agencies, has been searching for him since he was last seen Sunday night at a Middleburg Heights nursing home.

Herhuth’s son, Matt, gave the following statement Friday evening: “We would like to thank all the people who helped search for my dad. It renews my faith in humanity and that there are good people out there.”
