Boat and Trailer Stolen in Erie County

BERLIN TOWNSHIP, OH — The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the theft of a boat and trailer around Independence Day.

According to authorities, the boat and trailer were parked on the shoulder of S.R. 2 east of S.R. 61 in Erie County on July 2 when the tow vehicle broke down.

When the owner returned to pick up the vehicle on July 4, the boat and trailer were missing.

The boat is a blue and white fiberglass 20′ long 1971 Well Craft with a hull number of OH220001G371. It has a 155 horsepower Buick inboard engine.

The boat carries no name, but has a swim platform on the rear.

The boat was on a blue homemade boat trailer with an Ohio registration of STN2538.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Sandusky Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
