Billions of Cicadas Set to Hit East Coast

Swarms of insects are set to hit the East Coast this spring for the first time in almost two decades.

While cicadas pop up every few years, this particular brood hasn’t been around for 17 years.

According to a report by ABC 7 News, there will be billions of them, but if you trim the branches close to your house, it could help keep the pests outdoors.
