BEDFORD, Ohio (WJW) — All Bedford city schools are closed on Tuesday due to a threat.

A message from the district says the district offices and schools are closed because of the threat received Monday evening.

The district made a statement Tuesday morning saying in part, “Unfortunately, we received an online threat and the schools were closed today out of an abundance of caution and as a precautionary measure while police investigate.”

The district said it will update families when it has additional information.

Police were seen patrolling Heskett Middle School Tuesday morning.
