LORAIN, Ohio -- Dozens of people on the south side of Lorain became the random victims of a vandal who went on a shooting spree, leaving behind broken windows and shattered glass.

Friday the 13th started out very unlucky for Joslen Rosario. First thing that morning she found her car window had been shot with a BB gun.

"I walked out to the street where I left my car parked and as I walked up to my car I noticed a small hole. I thought it was a joke, I opened my car door and I noticed that it was all shattered,” Rosario said.

It was the same situation for her neighbors who had their car parked on the other side of East 33rd Street. Plastic now covers the broken window that has yet to be replaced.

"We're trying to figure out what happened also. We just up the next morning -- came out - the glass was broken," Noah Brown said.

It appears these were random shootings. Cars were hit on both sides of the street, and not just on East 33rd Street, but on others in the area. While police were taking calls from dozens of victims of the BB gun shooter, Robert Dozier of Dozier’s Auto Glass was taking calls from people who unexpectedly found they needed their car windows fixed.

"Approximately about 6 o'clock Friday morning, we received a lot of calls about some vandalized car windows. We went to check around the neighborhood -- come to find out that between 30 and 40 vehicles were vandalized," Dozier said.

While the vandal might have seen this a Friday the 13th prank, Rosario said it was no laughing matter.

"That someone thought it was a joke -- or thought it was funny to shoot everyone windows out -- it's not funny,” she said.

Replacing car windows can costs hundreds of dollars, and it is an expense that may not be covered by one’s insurance.

"We have a newborn. People just don’t' think, like now I have to take money and fix this instead of buying formula and stuff like that. I mean people just don't care. They're out for their own momentary fun,” Brown said.

Anyone with information about the BB gun vandal who left some much damage behind should call Lorain police.
