Bay Village police investigate ‘random roadway assault’

BAY VILLAGE, Ohio- Police are asking for helping solving what they call a “random roadway assault” that happened at the Huntington Reservation.

A couple was driving home from an Avon Lake restaurant on Lake Road at about 11 p.m. Tuesday when they heard a loud pop, according to Bay Village police. The passenger-side window was shattered and one person suffered minor cuts.

While the victims believed their window was shot out, officers discovered a projectile was launched from the south side of Lake Road.

Bay Village police and the Cleveland Metroparks Rangers searched the area.
