Barberton Police Search for Hit-and-Run Driver

BARBERTON, Ohio — Police in Barberton are asking for help in tracking down a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run accident.

Barberton police said that a pedestrian was struck on West State Street, near Glenn Street, just after 6 p.m. Wednesday. Witnesses told police that after the crash, a black Chevy Silverado extended cab truck fled eastbound toward Wooster Road North.

The truck may have front driver’s side damage.

The pedestrian was taken to an area hospital for treatment. Police did not immediately release the person’s name or condition.
