CLEVELAND (WJW) — Bikers rode to the “Back the Blue” Sunday morning in Cleveland.
Kickstands went up at 11:30 a.m. Upwards of 500 motorcycles took part in this second annual run.
Bikers started in Berea and rode to a memorial service at the Peace Officers Memorial in downtown Cleveland.
Sunday’s event had a cost was $20 per rider .
The event benefited the family of Cleveland police Detective James Skernivitz, who was killed in the line of duty in September.
Other proceeds will support Cleveland’s annual “Shop with a Cop” event.
The ride was organized by the group Cleveland Bikers for Charity. The organization is planning several other charity rides this summer.
