AKRON – Coming Attractions Bridal and Formal is back open after closing its doors a few weeks ago.

Owner Anna Younker said she made the decision after former Ebola patient Amber Vinson visited the store during her trip to Ohio.

"I didn't have any direction.  Do we close the store? Am I supposed to clean it?” recalled Younker.

She said there was never a threat, but felt it was necessary for the sake of both customers and employees; both feared the place was contaminated.

Younker actually had worked personally with Vinson and said at the time she didn’t notice anything unusual.

"I was like no, that can't be her. I mean I thought about it. I actually called her cell phone because I didn't think it was her and of course she didn't answer,” she said.

Since then, Younker said she brought in a professional cleaning company. The store was sterilized along with the dresses.

While some brides were comforted to hear about that, others didn’t want to take any chances and asked for a refund.

She said she probably lost tens of thousands of dollars as a result.

"There were stories that she was trying on dresses here and she did not. She had already bought her gown from us months ago, so that was part of the scare that some of the customers had,” said Younker.

On Tuesday, she felt ready to reopen.

She’s hopeful it will go well, and it looks to be; many customers are loving the 60% off sale now being offered.

It’s only for merchandise in-stock. The deal will last until November 15.
