HOUSTON, Texas — An 8-month-old baby in Houston is found safe after an Amber Alert was issued.

According to KPRC, the baby’s mom left the infant, who was sleeping, in a running car while she ran inside a store at around 1:30 Monday morning.

As the mom walked out of the store, she saw someone stealing the car with her child inside.

An Amber Alert was issued.

The car was found several hours later; but the baby was not inside.

Just before 8 a.m., a jogger found the missing baby after hearing the infant cry; the baby was in her car seat in the brush near the road.

Police are looking for the man who stole the car.
