MUSTANG, Okla. — Parts of Oklahoma, Texas and Kansas are showing signs of thawing after deadly ice storms.

Twitter user @barbiereif posted a picture on Sunday that shows a speed limit sign in Mustang, Oklahoma melting.

Meteorologist Brady Taylor at KWTX in Waco, Texas shared the photo on his Facebook page. It has over 17,000 likes and shares.

The storms knocked out power and caused problems on roadways.

The Kansas Highway Patrol said five people died in single-car crashes, while three were killed in an accident outside of Amarillo Texas.

Now, much of the area is dealing with flooding.
