Arrest Made in Shooting Death of Man on Porch

CLEVELAND– One of two men wanted in connection with the death of James D. Swindler, III has been arrested. The 20-year-old was shot as he stood on a porch.

Cleveland police said Jonathon Catron, 24, was arrested Friday morning on Potomac Avenue in Cleveland.

He is awaiting charges.

Police are still looking for Catron’s 22-year-old brother, Carvin.

Anyone who has information on his whereabouts is asked to call the Cleveland Division of Police Homicide Unit at (216) 623-5464.

Police said a preliminary investigation showed the two males were exchanging gunfire on Columbia Avenue last weekend, when Swindler was shot.

He was not involved in the incident.
