CLEVELAND – If you know about the #ToyStoryChallenge, you can imagine that the ULTIMATE way to take it would be with Cowboy Woody himself, or as the rest of us refer to him, Tom Hanks.

The background on this latest challenge comes from the “Toy Story” movie franchise and the toys that starred in it. The idea is that the toys that come to life would all drop down and be still when their owner, Andy, walked into the room. Tom Hanks was the voice of the leader of the toys, a cowboy named Woody. The signal to drop down was when one toy yelled out, “Andy’s coming.”

The challenge has become an internet craze, with videos of various groups dropping to the ground after someone gives the signal.

That is where some students at Cleveland’s St. Joseph Academy come in with their epic rendition of the challenge.

Student Jonae Willaims was selected to be the moderator for the discussion Hanks participated in a week ago when he spoke to high school and college students from throughout the region at Tri-C. He talked about his career and how students can pursue their own careers in acting and media.

Wiliams wanted her fellow students to join in the fun, and they came up with the idea of asking Hanks himself to participate in the challenge with them.

Hanks loved the idea, and his daughter even volunteered to shoot the video, according to St. Joseph’s principal.

Epic. Just epic.
