Talk about reading your mind.. or maybe just your shopping cart!

The Wall Street Journal reports that Amazon got a patent for “anticipatory shopping,” meaning the popular retailer knows its customers well enough to ship what they need before they even order it.

The company reported it may ship products based on customers’ previous orders and shopping habits.

According to The Wall Street Journal, in the patent document, Amazon said delays between ordering and receiving purchases, “May dissuade customers from buying items from online merchants.”

This is the latest in Amazon’s attempts to cut delivery time; in December, the company talked about using delivery drones.
