CLEVELAND- A Cleveland man prosecutors say is a major distributor of heroin on the city’s east side is facing charges.
A grand jury indicted Tevaughn “Big Baby” Darling on charges of trafficking, drug possession, possessing criminal tools, tampering with evidence and conspiracy. The Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office described the 36-year-old as “a kingpin in the local heroin trafficking market.”
Darling is being held at the Cuyahoga County Jail on $500,000 bond. His adult criminal record spans 18 years.
Court documents said after Darling was robbed in January, he ordered Douglas Shine to retaliate at Chalk Linez barbershop in Warrensville Heights. The motion said Shine, who is accused of killing three and injury three more, “acted at the direction or with the consent of Darling.”
Darling’s associates, Duane Washington, 44; Erica M. Crawford, 33; and Terri Buckner, 36, were also indicted.
