AKRON, Ohio- The Human Society of Greater Akron says it’s at critical capacity at its Twinsburg facility following several recent rescues.
Since June, PAWSiblities rescued more than 335 cats. According to the humane society, 23 were removed from a hoarding case and 27 were left without care when their owner passed away.
“We have rescued orphaned bottle-feeders to senior cats. Each of these animals were victims of abuse, neglect or abandonment and deserve the very best care we can give them,” President/CEO Diane Johnson said in a news release on Monday.
Adoption fees have been lowered. It’s $25 for cats 6 months or older, $40 for kittens and $75 for dogs.
