AKRON, Ohio - A Warren man wanted for a number of robberies at Akron stores is under arrest after a stand-off earlier today.

Akron Police had asked for the public's help in identifying John Beason, Jr. in a Facebook post earlier this week:

They say that Beason robbed the Family Dollar on North Arlington Street this past Thursday night and again on Friday.  Today he went into the Far-Less Food Market on East Buchtel Avenue and demanded money. After the store owner pulled his own gun on Beason, he fled to a vacant building on McNaughton Street. Akron police and SWAT teams surrounded the building, and Beason was later arrested without incident.

Police report that Beason  is being charged with two counts of aggravated robbery and that more charges could be filed.
