CLEVELAND, Ohio (WJW) – An Air Quality Alert is in effect Monday for portions of Northeast Ohio.
The alert is for Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, Medina, Portage, and Summit counties through midnight.
The warning is for ground level ozone.
Ground level ozone can hit dangerous levels when pollutants react in sunlight.
It could cause breathing difficulties for sensitive groups, which include the elderly, children, and people with lung issues.
