VALLEY VIEW, Ohio– February is a busy month for the folks at the Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter.

Sunday is the annual puppy bowl, where eight new arrivals take the field. You can watch on the Facebook page at 1 p.m.

The shelter is also selling cards for Operation Spread the Love. You can purchase the cards at the Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter, Mad Mike’s Bar and Grille in Garfield Heights, Kelley’s Pub in Lakewood, Canal-Towpath Bar and Grille in Valley View and area Camp Bow Wow locations. Proceeds go to Dick Goddard’s Best Friend’s Medical Relief Fund.

Here are few of the sweet pups up for adoption:

Buddy is a 6-year-old beagle, who came to the shelter in November. This goofball is quiet for a beagle and is great with kids. He is currently being treated for heartworm.

Gordo is also being treated for heartworm. This chow mix is a big baby. He’s 4 to 5 years old, and loves tug of war, fetch and belly rubs.

Max is a 1-year-old pit-bulldog mix. He’s super sweet with lots of puppy energy and he loves treats.

Adoption fees are $90, which includes heartworm tests, first set of shots, spay/neuter and a license.
