CLEVELAND - One local boy is preparing for the most exciting day of his life.

Robert Gibson, 4, lost a twin at birth and has been battling several health problems since.

A Special Wish has teamed up with the Lake Erie Monsters to sign Robert to a one-day contract.

Robert met with the team captain, Ryan Craig, at the Crocker Park Dick's Sporting Goods store on Thursday to pick out some new gear.

Robert will even get his own locker and will skate out of the tunnel with the team. He is even in the starting lineup.

A Special Wish Foundation Cleveland Chapter grants wishes for children with life-threatening illnesses between birth and age 20. There are currently 55 wish children at the Cleveland Clinic Children’s Hospital, University Hospitals Rainbows Babies and Children’s Hospital and The Ronald McDonald House.
