KINGSVILLE TOWNSHIP, OH – A Kingsville Township man was killed when his tractor was hit by a commercial truck in Ashtabula County.

72-year-old Richard Anderson was driving a small tractor on State Route 193 Friday afternoon when a commercial tractor-trailer, driven by an Illinois man, hit him while turning left onto the road.

Anderson was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The truck driver, along with a passenger were not reported to have been injured.

Police tell Fox 8 that the larger truck failed to yield to the tractor and that alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the accident. The Ohio State Highway Patrol in Ashtabula is investigating the crash.
