GARFIELD HEIGHTS, Ohio — A resident was cited after a four-foot-long alligator was removed from a Garfield Heights home.

According to Ed Jamison, the animal warden, several complaints were made prompting an investigation Wednesday afternoon in the 8900 block of McCracken.

Those who responded were let into the home and removed the animal.

The owner was cited Friday morning.

The alligator was being transported to the Department of Agriculture in Reynoldsburg, Ohio.

It will eventually be moved to an alligator farm in South Carolina.
