KENT – The Portage County Coroner confirmed that they were called to the scene where the body of a 23-year-old male was found.

According to the Coroner’s Office, his body was found around 7:30 a.m. near a pile of rocks near the Cuyahoga River in Kent. The area was between West Summit Street and Franklin Avenue.

Officials believe he is from Massillon, but have not yet released his identity.

An autopsy is scheduled for Monday to determine the cause of death.

No foul play is suspected.
