CHICAGO — Fire officials say two parachutists have been hospitalized for injuries during the Chicago Air & Water Show.

City fire department spokesman Juan Hernandez says the two men were taken in serious-to-critical condition to Northwestern Memorial Hospital on Saturday morning.

He says witnesses told first responders they saw at least one of the parachutists clip a building, but the Fire Department has not confirmed whether that’s the case.

Hernandez says one man was found on North Avenue Beach and the other landed farther south in the Gold Coast neighborhood.

He had no other details on the nature of the injuries or what went wrong.
