2 Killed After Car Goes Off Road, Strikes House

MEDINA CO., Ohio — Two people were killed after their car went off the road and hit a house in Homer Township Saturday.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, it happened around 4:21 p.m. on state Route 301 just north of U.S. Route 224.

Doris K. Williams, 58, of West Salem, was driving a 2000 Mitsubishi Galant north on state Route 301 when she traveled through a stop sign at U.S. Route 224 and drove off the left side of the road. She hit a mailbox and then a house.

Williams and her passenger, Rosemarie Kinney, 53, of West Salem, both died of their injuries at the scene. Williams was wearing a seat belt, but Kinney was not.

The occupants of the house were not injured.

It’s unknown if alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash.
