MASSILLON, Ohio — Two people were arrested after police say they were caught trying to burglarize a home that had been heavily damaged by a tree.

According to police reports, Lindsay Michele Trelfa, 39, and Michael Anthony Gresser, 37, face charges of burglary, possession of criminal tools, receiving stolen property and drug possession.

Police say owners of a home on 12th St. were staying elsewhere for the night, after a tree fell onto their house during storms on June 12.

Police say a neighbor reported seeing a prowler in the area, and when police arrived, they found the two suspects hiding behind a truck and arrested them.

Officers found two flashlights, gloves, a bottle of pills belonging to the homeowners’ son and a black purse containing a pry bar.

They were taken to Stark County Jail.
