GREEN, Ohio — A 14-year-old boy and his 14-year-old friend are accused of taking his mom’s vehicle for a joyride, without her knowing about it.

The Summit County Sheriff’s Office said it responded to the intersection of Shriver and Sunnyview Road in Green around 3 a.m. Wednesday for a car crash.

Authorities said the driver lost control of the vehicle, rolled it over and hit a parked car. The two teens then ran off; they were found at the home of one of the teens.

The teens were taken to Summa Health Center to be checked for any injuries.

The Summit County Sheriff’s Office said both were cited for curfew violations and the driver was also cited for operating a vehicle without a license, reckless operation and hit-skip.
