BROOKLYN HEIGHTS, Ohio — A Twinsburg man got the birthday present of a lifetime recently.

According to the Ohio Lottery, Michael Mancini won $1 million in the 40th Anniversary Millions.

Mancini said he has been buying lottery tickets for 25 years, predicting one day he would hit “a big one.”

His prediction came 10 days after his birthday.

He said he always buys from Giant Eagle in Twinsburg, and he scratches to see if he has matched the numbers before scratching the prize amount.

This time, he matched all the numbers first as usual, and then discovered the $1 million prize amount on the ticket.

Mancini had to get his wife, Lynn, to verify the winning amount.

Mancini will get $40,000 per year for 25 years.
