1.7-magnitude earthquake reported near Willowick

WILLOWICK, Ohio (WJW)– A 1.7-magnitude earthquake hit Lake Erie on Tuesday, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The small quake happened at 5:25 p.m. just north of Willowick.

Willowick police said there were reports related to the incident.

It’s the second earthquake in Lake County in three days. There was a 2.6-magnitude quake Saturday afternoon north of Eastlake.
