Survey says almost half have fallen victim to ‘phubbing’ in their relationships

It’s a growing epidemic in the U.S.: phubbing, or ‘phone snubbing.’

Aside from being rude and inconsiderate, it may spell trouble for your relationships.

Phubbing is the act of snubbing someone in a social setting by looking at your phone instead of paying attention.

Today says that according to a new survey, 46.3 percent of respondents said they experienced phubbing at the hands of their significant other. Another 22.6 percent admitted that phubbing led to problems in the relationship.

The study also found that being phubbed can lead to depression.
