CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Some of the best chefs in Cleveland will complete for the title of "Cleveland's Finest" and help a good cause at the same time.
A dozen chefs will create Hors d'Oeuvres next Thursday at the Terrace Club to benefit Our Lady of the Wayside. Participants will vote for their favorite.
Chef Ben Bebenroth of Spice Kitchen & Bar stopped by Fox 8 News in the Morning Friday to talk about the event and share his recipe for Braised Pork Meatballs. (*Scroll down for the recipe*)

Braised Pork Meatballs
- 1 1/2 cup bread crumbs soaked with 1/2 cup red sweet vermouth
- 2 1/2 cups ground pork
- 1 egg
- 6 T. parmesan
- 1 t. sage
- 1 t. oregano
- 1 t. salt
- 1/4 t. nutmeg
All above ingredients are combined to make the meatballs. Next - braised in a sauteed blend of dates and calabrian peppers.
Served over polenta; garnished with micro herbs
