CLEVELAND - We may have dodged a nasty winter this year, but that warmer weather means we could be in for a nasty flea and tick season.

Dr. Frank Krupka of the Avon Lake Animal Clinic says that the mild temperatures mean that pet owners should not stop their flea and tick treatments. He also says that this year's flea and tick season will be starting very early - so pet owners need to be extra diligent.

Dr. Krupka has some tips for keeping your pet protected as well as what to do if you find the pests on your pet or in your home.

You can click here to head over to the clinic's website as well.
