ALABAMA– A controversy is brewing at a school in Alabama.
A city councilwoman and a teacher say classes are being racially segregated, WAKA reported.
The teacher says in her 33 years at Troy Elementary School, she taught several classrooms with only African American children.
The school superintendent says the policy isn’t about race; it’s about parental choice: parents have the option of selecting their child’s teacher.
The school system says it’s a policy that’s been in place for years.
Do you think parents should be able to choose their child’s teacher?
