The trick or treat tradition often takes place on Halloween, though if it falls on a week day, it’s sometimes moved to Friday or Saturday night so kids don’t have school the next day.

But in Lorain County, the event is being moved from a Friday night to a Thursday night because of high school football games.

According to the Lorain County Community Alliance, the countywide trick or treat time will be on Oct. 30 from 6-7:30 p.m.

Should communities reschedule trick-or-treating so it doesn’t interfere with high school football?
