The goal is to give police officers some training to help them recognize the signs of mental illness.
Highland Heights Police Chief Jim Cook along with Bill Denihan, CEO of ADAMHS(Alcohol, Drug Addiction & Mental Health Services) explained to Fox 8's Wayne Dawson why this kind of training can hopefully help police respond better to situations where mental illness is involved.
