CLEVELAND -- A new restaurant in Cleveland claims to redefine the modern steakhouse.

Urban Farmer recently opened adjacent to the Westin in downtown Cleveland.

The restaurant is 'farm-to-table', a concept that rings true in both its food and its decor. There are re-purposed barn materials throughout the restaurant.

Urban Farmer has its own butcher shop in the basement of the restaurant, but it also utilizes local farmers who bring their food directly to the building.

Urban Farmer tries to use as much of the animal as possible in the different dishes so that very little goes to waste.

The restaurant has its own charcuterie, a branch of cooking devoted to prepared meat products, primarily from pork.

Urban Farmer even has a very special belt-driven meat slicer. The slow turning of the blade keeps the meat from heating up, which  keeps the fat intact.

Urban Farmer takes the idea of farm-to-table to another level. They'll even serve a ribeye steak to the table while it's still on the bone!

Urban Farmer is open every day for breakfast, lunch and dinner starting at 6:30 a.m.
