CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Brigid Titgemeier is a registered dietitian with the Cleveland Clinic Center for Functional Medicine and she makes it her business to know the amount of sugar contained in foods. What surprises Brigid is the amount of sugar in many of our favorite snack foods -- popular snacks that many parents love to offer their children.

Brigid brought some examples to show Fox 8's Stefani Schaefer and explain how the sugar amount in these snacks may be more than you think.

If you would like to learn about other kid-friendly snack ideas. Brigid has a blog where she has listed 4 kid-friendly snack recipes with no added sugars. You can get to her blog by clicking here.
