CLEVELAND, Ohio — The staff at MetroHealth Medical Center are there when families need them most.

Our Stefani Schaefer knows that first-hand. It’s been three years since her husband, Roger, suffered a traumatic brain injury in a construction accident.

Chuck Giles was also helped by MetroHealth. He credits MetroHealth Foundation’s Brain Injury Program for his recovery after a devastating fall. He’s shared his story before with Fox 8 News.

Now, anyone can help the hospital continue their important work at the upcoming MetroHealth Gala 2016 and the Gala After Dark event.

Giles joined us on Fox 8 News this morning with his daughters-in-law, Courtney and Amber, to talk about his come-back and the importance of the gala.

Stefani is one of the Gala 2016 co-chairs.

The gala will be held on May 21. It is already sold out. But the Gala After Dark event is not, and that also helps the hospital. That event takes place from 9:30 p.m. through 1 a.m. at the Cleveland Convention Center.
