CLEVELAND, Ohio — A local animal rescue that saves animals from high kill shelters, hoarding situations, abuse/neglect cases and owner surrenders is gearing up for its biggest event of the year.

Dogs Unlimited Rescue is an all-volunteer, non-profit, foster-based organization, which has saved nearly 500 dogs over the past four years.

Its 5th annual Muttsquerade Ball will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Moxie in Beachwood.

Our own Stefani Schaefer is a board member for the rescue.

Schaefer’s daughter, Siena, will perform at the event with her musical collaborator, Nathan. The two performed on Fox 8 News in the Morning Wednesday.  To watch, click here.
