AKRON, Ohio — A local organization dedicated to raising money and awareness for children with eating disorders is using the wintry weather to spread the word.
The C.U.P.C.A.K.E. Foundation, which stands for Caring Understanding Parents Coping & Accepting Kids with Eating Disorders, is hosting its Tubing for Tubies event at Polar Blast. A portion of every ticket sold for the snow tubing event will go to benefit the C.U.P.C.A.K.E. Foundation.
The C.U.P.C.A.K.E. Foundation says along with raising awareness and funding research, it also promotes support for parents of medically complex children with food disorders.
Tubing for Tubies at Polar Blast will be held February 10 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event is also sponsored by Akron Children’s Hospital and Boston Mills Brandywine Ski Resorts.
