CLINTON, Ohio — A local park is hosting its annual event to celebrate the holidays and honor military members.
The second annual Tree Lighting at Ohio Veterans’ Memorial Park will be held Saturday, December 7, at 6 p.m.
The lighting began as a way for the community to honor those who serve during the holidays, and remember service members who have died in the line of duty. Visitors are encouraged to bring an ornament to symbolize a loved one who has died for their country.
The event is free to attend and refreshments will be served. Santa Claus will be on hand to take photos with children, and organizers will be hand to collect unwrapped toys for Toys for Tots.
